MISSION STATEMENT
My mission is to create an inclusive and nurturing environment that allows children to develop and grow in all areas of development with respect to the ELECT Document. The program will be modeled through age appropriate Play and Learning experiences fostering each child’s individual abilities.
INFANT/TODDLER/PRESCHOOL CHILDCARE
When searching for childcare, it is of the utmost importance to find someone who your children will feel comfortable with throughout the day while their families are at work and about. I am opening my home and heart to do just that. Your children will be given a place that will feel like a second home filled with free play, crafts, outdoor time, dance and music, literacy activities, social interactions and so much more! Giving your child an opportunity to expand and develop in all areas of healthy development through learning, play and socialization appropriate to age is what I aim to help aid in everyday.

Monday - Friday: 8:30am to 5pm*
Saturdays & Sundays: Closed

CLOSURES
Little Bear Childcare will be closed all day on the following dates:
- Christmas Day (Dec. 25th)
- Boxing Day (Dec. 26th)
- New Years Day (Jan. 1st)
- Family Day
- Good Friday
- Easter Monday
- Victoria Day
- Canada Day (Jul. 1st)
- Civic Holiday
- Labour Day
- Thanksgiving Day
**Parents are required to pay for all stat holidays that fall on your child’s regularly scheduled day.

PERSONAL HOLIDAYS
I will take three-four weeks of personal holidays per calendar year. Personal holidays are typically 1 week over Christmas, 1 week over March Break and 2 weeks in the summer. This does not include statutory holidays. As much notice as possible will be given (one month minimum), but I send out a year round calendar in January with holidays listed. You will not be charged for care during this vacation time.

8:30am - 9:30am.: Drop Off & Free play & Open centres
9:30am-9:45am - Upstairs Morning Carpet / Story Time
9:45am - 10:10am.: Wash hands / Morning Snack
10:10am - 10:15am.: Bathroom Breaks / Diapering
10:15am - 11:15am.: Outdoor Play
11:15am - 12:20pm: Wash Hands / Lunch Prep / Lunch
12:20pm - 12:30pm.: Bathroom Breaks / Diapering
12:30pm - 2:30pm.: - Nap Time / Rest Time
2:30pm – 2:40pm.: Wake Up / Bathroom Breaks / Diapering
2:40pm - 3:00pm.: Wash Hands / Afternoon Snack
3:00pm - 3:30pm.: Guided Group Lesson / Free Play & Open centres
(Art, Music, Drama, Dance, Child Yoga, Science, Math, Literacy)
3:30pm - 4:45pm. - Clean Up Toys / Bathroom Breaks / Diapering / Outdoor Play
5:00p.m.: Latest Pick Up
**There is flexibility within the schedule. This is a rough outline of what the daily schedule will be and is subject to minor changes day to day, depending on what activities take place :)

PLAYSPACE
The playspace I have designed is an open concept playroom complete with many areas for play exploration and learning! This includes a craft centre, book centre, a kitchen/baby area, train station, felt board, magnetic fridge, puppet theatre, hot wheels track and bins upon bins of organized play materials! There is a bathroom on this level fitted for a child as well as a TV for dancing, singing and learning purposes! Toys will be rotated out monthly giving the children new and exciting opportunities for their creative and developing minds to explore! All toys are age appropriate and suitable for a child.
TUITION COST
Daily rate = $65 / day
*The government is now offering licensed families a discounted rate that is applied to each child / day! This now brings your tuition cost down to $22 / day :)
**Payment is due on the 1st of each month covering the total cost of daycare for that month! Invoices are sent via Brightwheel 3 days in advance to make sure payments are up to date and on time :)
***Receipts are given at the end of each year.
